Hi! My name is Bree. I live in Annville, PA with my husband and our three year old son. When I’m not taking pictures you can find me shopping, enjoying the company of family and friends, or going on adventures with my little fam.
My love of photography started when I was a child. I loved taking pics on 35 mm disposable cameras and I was always excited to have my photos developed. I bought my first “real camera” at a yard sale when I was really young- the previous owner gave me basic instructions like how to load film, etc. and I’ve been obsessed ever since.
When I got my first digital camera, I’d set up backdrops and dress up my siblings for “photoshoots”. I loved being able to see all my images without waiting for my parents to get my film developed and it opened up a whole new world for me.
My passion grew as I took classes in high school learning composition and basic editing, how to capture images without a “camera” and develop in a light room. It was so special to me to watch how these moments in time were just frozen to relive over and over again.
I toured a few colleges and planned to study photography further but life got in the way. I ended up working in the dental field for almost seven years, and then left my full time job when I had my son.
My sweet husband bought me a new DSLR to replace one I had previously. He encouraged me to do what I love and further my skills. I was busy taking photos for my friends and family and building my portfolio for years before finally taking the plunge and starting Bree Kelsey Photography early 2020.
I struggled for years to find the confidence to start my own business but photography makes my heart happy, and life is too short to not do what you love.
With every passing minute we change and being able to capture things how they are in this very moment is something so special, because it will never be the same again.
